Mostly clean, there were a few things in the apartment that I had noted that I sent to the company but nothing that needed fixed immediately. The keys had to be picked up at a store rather than the contactless entry mentioned. There is public transit close by which was helpful
This Airbnb is an excellent place. It was great for our 4-person family with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It was well appointed and updated with comfortable beds, beautiful views, and a good location. We loved the pool on the rooftop. The stay was really comfortable and I would recommend this to any family. We would stay again! The one issue we had was the pickup of the keys. It was at a key vault at a local 7-11 1/2 mile from the apartment. This normally wouldn't be an issue, but we had luggage to haul there. The host did offer to reimburse for the Uber ride over, which was nice.
The unit is nicer than in photos- upper floor 2 BR city apartment with many windows, which open, with views overlooking the South End and beyond. It is across from the Christian Science Plaza's reflecting pool and spray fountains, a block from the Pru and the green line, a short walk to Mass Ave, the MFA, Symphony Hall and Fenway, Copley Square, Newbury Street, etc. Northeastern U and Berklee College of Music within blocks. Would have liked a few things offered: a couple snacks and drinks (the norm in other airbnbs), parking offered on site (though several garages in block), a few brochures/maps on premises, to be able to have earlier check in than 5 pm (at 5 we also had to wait 15 minutes for our host to meet us with the key). We would have liked to have used the rooftop pool, but it was closed from rain the prior day and would not reopen until 10:30 the following day (check out was 11). Overall, it was a great spot, and more affordable and spacious that night than other options.
