Our worst, and really only bad, Airbnb experience. It’s not quite clear where the apartment is upon arrival. It’s sort of in a section that looks like a separate complex. Once in, the AC was not working, and it was 82F. We also noticed it is not the same place as in the pictures. Although similar in style, they layout is quite different. The place was also dirty. The floors seemed to have been quickly passed over with a vacuum, the vents covered in dust, stains on the bed, standing brown water in the bathtub, and silverfish bugs everywhere. The blinds for all windows were broken allowing passing residents to clearly see into the living space and the bedroom. The bed had a weird sag on either edge so that you had to be aware to not get too close. Else, you might roll off. There is no insulation against the noise from the upstairs residents. You can hear their conversations and tv (and something that would be hard to explain if you were traveling with children), but it made for a fun game of try to mirror their movement by standing directly underneath them. Each step could be traced across the ceiling. Good luck sleeping! We called the number provided, and although the gentleman was very kind and apologetic, they did absolutely nothing for us. He asked us to buy a four back of AA batteries to replace in the thermostat. He told me to submit the receipt for reimbursement, but I haven’t heard anything from him as of writing this review. We asked for a cancellation and refund the first night, but he advised he could not approve this and that we’d have to wait for some other department to approve. He also said he could not solve any of the other problems, including the blinds, and asked us to cover the windows with bed sheets. He ensured that he would follow up asap, but after 24 hours, he never reached out. I called and left a voicemail, but a return call was not received. I texted and he responded with… “With sincerest apologies for the delay in getting back to you, we unfortunately don't have voice support personnel available The department has indeed been trying their level best to address your concern regarding the blinds but the weekend unfortunately hasn't allowed the availability of the grounds team The address will indeed be addressed by tomorrow and the department will also be sure to get back to you regarding the inconvenience you have had to bear with Your patience & understanding in this regard is most highly appreciated and won't be taken for granted Extremely Apologetic, Jean” It’s now 2:15 Monday, 3 hours after checkout, and still no word from them since this text was sent yesterday. Really, please avoid this place. We will never stay at an Evonify place again.

Place was great. Feels like a temporary home in a nice part of Austin. Only thing is you are charged a $100 deposit and can’t check in until 5pm. Other than that great place.
