The place is in a 125 year old building. Lifts are large and old but always worked. Location is fantastic overlooking Boston Common and Park with great connectivity to the city in all directions. Lots of walkable places. The living room and bedrooms are average in quality. A bit dusty. When requesting amenities such as paper towels, towels, Dish liquid, Dust pan, blanket. And all were provided promptly. Bathroom is old but functional with hot water always available. Overall, a practical solution to stay in city centre but don't expect a new classy place.
Perfect
Rating is based more on VALUE vs. cost. Location is good (right across from Boston Common) so relatively close to some good amenities and sites. Building is dated, dirty and seems mostly to be student housing. Apartment space is small and cramped (it's a basic but on the small side) with minimal natural light, poor ventilation & minimal useable space.Biggest issue is the bathroom. Dated, dirty and broken are the best ways to describe it. Mold growing on the vanity (as it is particle board and getting water damage from the shower). Toilet has giant crack out of it. Water in the shower is intermittent (goes from hot to cold without warning). Tiling, grout and caulking are insufficient. Kitchen is less than useful (couldn't imagine cooking a full meal in the space. Basically just good for warming up some food. Very few places to sit (and seating isn't comfortable). Best thing this place does is make you want to go outside ... better hope that it's not raining
