The place was fine. The building and main hallways etc were a little run down, not bad but not a "luxury" accommodation by any stretch. The "concierge" could not find us a key bon check in (which is in a different but nearby building) and while he was very nice, he let us in to our unit, but we could not leave the building and be able to get back in without a main building key. When we inquired about a key delivery, the customer service was rude and accused us of not following their instructions -- which we did to the letter -- which is to check in with the concierge.) It was then a whole back and forth. All we wanted was a key to the place and some towels (they gave us only 1 bath and a few hand towels for 4 people) and it was a whole ordeal. While the customer service was quick to respond, they were rude and condescending. Also, the phone number for customer service put us in a loop...two different people tried it several times and it just didn't work. It ruined our first night. Thankfully a very nice cleaning lady gave us her building keys so we could go get dinner.
This is a great apartment, very clean and spacious with two large comfortable bedrooms and a relaxing living space. The owners were very prompt and responsible in getting back to us, organizing everything and making the trip easy. Recommended! The neighborhood is centrally located to Boston Common, nightlife, and downtown. A great spot for Boston exploring. There is a parking garage across the street which will cost a bit more each day (or you can park somewhere else of course.) The area itself is nice although not too family friendly at night. A recommended place to stay for a Boston trip.
Location, location, location! T stops right around the corner- right next to Chinatown for some DELICIOUS food. Check-in was easy- most complaints on this Airbnb are probably folks who don’t know how to follow directions, but it was a breeze. Safe and secure building, a fan for each bedroom, and ample space. Thanks so much!
