The initial listing became unavailable the week of our trip due to emergency maintenance, but the host was able to get us another booking in the same building. The new room had the same amenities as the initial booking, and was very clean. We greatly appreciated them working with us on this issue, as well as for helping us resolve another minor issue during our stay. They responded quickly and were always very friendly and professional. The building itself was a little old, but was in a fantastic location with lots of things to see and do within walking distance. Great value for your money, especially given the location next to Boston Common and downtown.
Location was great. Little noisy at night, but to be expected given the area. Given a differing unit as the original unit needed some maintenance. This Unit needs some maintenance, as well. There was food remnants on floor. Mold in grout in shower. The exhaust fan was filled with dust. There were exposed HVAC lines where a heater would have been. No option to use heat given the changing weather. Definitely not the same as the photo posted. Perhaps the original unit would have been a different experience
We didn’t realize how phenomenal the location was until our airport driver said, “You couldn’t have picked a better part of town!” and he was right. We packed our days full in Boston, and being caddy-corner from a rail station and across from a bakery/coffee shop made it effortless. The true icing on the cake was being right across from Boston Commons. From a photo shoot, to the start of our walking tour, to one last stroll before heading home, it was the perfect backdrop. The BnB matched the photos exactly. The kitchen is the tiniest I’ve ever stood in (very NYC-style), which made us laugh, but it didn’t stop us from reheating leftovers or making breakfast daily. What they sacrificed in kitchen space allowed for a decent bathroom, roomy stay with a comfortable living area and sleeping space. This spot had everything we needed and more—truly an unbeatable stay.
