The location is unbeatable. Many other neighborhoods/sights are within walking distance. For farther areas, you’ve got multiple nearby subway/T stations. There is noise from the city, so bring your white noise machine. It’s also VERY bright at night from the city lights. There are roller shades but there are a lot of cracks around them that let in the light. This place is great for those who need some room to spread out. Lots of kitchen storage/counter space and two large closets. The bathroom is small and could definitely use some updates. There is a medicine cabinet that helps with storage in the small space. Overall, I would recommend/return.
The apartment found the apartment clean as advertised with good amenities and a comfortable bed. The location is perfect - close to both green and orange metro lines, the gorgeous Boston Commons literally outside the door, as well as a ton of food and entertainment options to suit your needs. The pricing is on the high side, but everything in downtown Boston is going to be like that. The only detractor is the noise. Bostonians love their car horns, police / fire and ambulatory sirens - but that is to be expected for a pad in such a prime location. We would definitely stay here again for our next visit!
Noise levels in the apartment was not acceptable. Not just city noise, but homeless people screaming all hours of the night and police and fire engine sirens constantly going. The windows are very thin and did nothing to stop the racket from outside. The smell of Marijuana down the hallways was very strong and drifted into the apartment. Not just once, but constantly throughout the stay. If smoking is legal in the apartment block then that should be listed so potential renters are given fair warning. The bathroom is tiny and is in need of refurbishment. It is adequate, but only just acceptable. The laundry room is pretty awful, with trash and rubbish littering the room. The location is great, and the kitchen, bedroom, and living room were all of a good standard.
