Great stay
Stayed in another room the night before and had a good experience. Tried to extend our stay but room was already rented. Noticed they had another room in the same building so I quickly booked it based on the good experience. They failed to send me my new instructions so when we were headed back for the night I had to ask. Upon arrival the room was 85 degrees. Contacted them and was directed to try to get it working for 1.5 hours. At which point I said I'm leaving and asked for a refund. No response so I left. I was later contacted and told the a/c in this unit had been broken since June and A/C wasn't in the amenities. No fans were in the room either and the heat was unbearable. Now I'm out $350 for a room we didn't stay in plus $250 for a motel. Also be aware after 48 hours I still hadn't been refunded my security deposit that I was told would be refunded in 24 hours. After I asked it was refunded almost immediately though. Very rude and condescending once I asked for a refund.
I have never left a negative review before with any stay I've ever done with airbnb. This is my first. First, i was never sent the instructions to access the front door, even though the host claims i was sent them. Once we got inside, it was 85 degrees. None of the windows open, and i couldn't get the thermostat to turn on. We called in and was sent a youtube video on how to work it. That didn't work, so i called in again and was told to unplug it to reset it. That didn't work either. Lastly i called in again and was informed this unit didn't have working AC and i should have noticed that in the listing. I was incredulous. The host refused to go anything about it and said "i should have noticed that AC wasn't listed in the ad". How do you not have air conditioning when it is 95 degrees outside? How do you advertise a unit without a working AC? You either fix the AC or buy a portable unit to make it work. This is a safety issue, as the windows didn't open either.
