Great location and very responsive host. Had a incident where the bathroom door got stuck and would not open, and did have a person in the bathroom during that time. Luckily had friends that they could call for help and the host was very responsive to get it fixed very quickly. Little scary though if you get stuck inside without friends/phone.
It is an old apartment with weird layout but centrally located. Apartment is quite dark at night with only table lamps and no ceiling light. It was very noisy during night when the cars drove by with blaring music and horns. We can’t sleep well due to noise. Not recommend for someone looking for a modern and quiet place.
Location, location, location! Could not have asked for a better location- so easy to walk or take the subway. The location was so good we are willing to overlook many of the drawbacks mentioned by other reviewers - bedroom A/C has intermittent functionality, we found it would cool better if we gave it breaks while we were out during the day and set it no lower than 74. My husband got locked in the bathroom. It took two of us working on it simultaneously from opposite sides to get it open again. The doorknob is not functional, so its best to not latch the door or you'll risk getting stuck. The building doesn't have ventilation in the lobby or hallways so it smells stale, but that smell is not present inside the unit. The bathroom is outdated but functional (except for door). It was mostly clean, but the floor in the bathroom and tile by the front door were both so grossly dirty that I didn't want to take off my shoes. The kitchen is too small to function, but the location is amazing!
