They want to charge an extra $250 because they took photos on October 6 when we still had our things in the apartment but that day we didn't have to go out, because they sent me a message that we had to check out October 7, and we cleaned before leaving. We clean the kitchen and rooms, we don't sweep because they didn't leave a broom or vacuum cleaner, they respond quickly when you write to them, it's the only good thing, but if you come to the apartment that I rent to take photos of when we still have our things there, it's normal to see messy by the way those photos were taken when there was no one in the house Ellos quieren cobrar $250 extra porque tomaron fotos el dia ,octubre 6 cuando aun teniamos nuestras cosas en el apartamento pero ese dia no nos tocaba salir, porque ellos me enviaron un mensaje que teniamos que hacer check out octubre 7, y nosotros limpiamos antes de salir ,limpiamos cocina y cuartos ,nosotros no barrimos porque ellos no dejaron escoba o aspiradora , ellos responden rapido cuando les escribes es lo unico bueno , pero si vienes al apartamento que alquilo a tomar fotos de cuando aun tenemos nuestras cosas ahi es normal que se vea desordenado por cierto esas fotos las hicieron cuando no habia nadie en la casa.
We (4 adults) stayed here for 5 nights. The apartment is newly remodeled and clean. All the appliances were new. Some still had shipping tape on them. There were towels set out for one bathroom but none for the other guests so we had to go on a scavenger hunt for towels, which he eventually located up high in a bedroom closet. There are no dressers or clothes hanging rods in either bedroom closet so you have to live out of your suitcase, which was extremely frustrating. There were also no paper towels, dish towels, hand soap, or large kitchen bowls. The kitchen cupboard had coffee grounds and filters but the coffee machine was a Keurig so those items didn't do us any good. The building door wasn't able to be secured so that made us feel a bit uneasy because anyone off the street could just walk in and come right upstairs to the apartments. The noise level can get VERY loud. I highly recommend earplugs for sleeping because you'll hear the subway, buses, cars squealing their tires, loud motorcycles and firetruck sirens. The Orient Heights Fire Department is just a couple blocks away. Once night we even heard a lot of fireworks at 3:00 am. The windows from our bedrooms faced the main roadway so getting a good nights sleep was next to impossible. There are TV's in the living room and 1 bedroom but unless you subscribe to a streaming service you will not be able to watch TV because there is no over-the-air antenna. The washer and dryer appeared to be new but when we tried to use the washer it made such a loud banging and squeaking sound that we had to stop the cycle, hand wash our clothes and then put them in the dryer. The host (Jean from Evonify) responded to all my correspondence almost immediately and had some of the missing items delivered to our apartment the next day. This airbnb has potential but the company definitely needs to address some issues in order for future guests to enjoy their stay.
Looks good from far but far from good! Paper thin walls, you have hear every step up stairs and every car drive by including the train across the street. When they flush the toilet upstairs it sounds like a waterfall coming down inside the walls. Washer and dryer sound like a thunderstorm and feel like an earthquake inside. Food processor doesn’t work and sink get clogged as soon as you wash one cup. Stove stays making a clicking noise the whole time you’re cooking. Cabinets crash in counters in the kitchen. Closets have no poles to hang clothes and there are no dressers to put clothes away. No hot water for the last two days was the cherry on top! Horrible experience!
