Really nice place, the apartment was clean and very well setup. The booking process is a bit tedious since you have to go through the regular airbnb booking process plus the Evonify process, which happens outside of the airbnb platform. I see why some people have had issues with it. There is also the fact that a security deposit is required outside of airbnb, I was a bit suspicious about that, because in case of any issues, airbnb would not be able to protect me. That said, I had zero issues with it and I was very happy about the whole experience.
The host was very responsive and helpful. The house was spacious and relatively clean, but one of the carpets was not cleaned beforehand (might be overlooked) and had used cosmetic products hidden in it. The kitchen was very nice and the outdoor terrace was sweet. The smoke detector had low battery and was making lots of noise at night.
DO NOT STAY AT THIS AIRBNB Evonify was very slow to every concern we had with the apartment and there were many. The first issue was big. The fire alarm went off at midnight because the batteries were old and faulty and hadn’t been checked. Because our recently adopted girl, who has had many traumatic experiences, the remainder of our evenings there were spent awake with her crying. Nothing was done to compensate our rough stay. The fire alarms were also not wired together properly. 3/5 went off in the apt. They all should have gone off. They didn’t respond aptly so all the neighbors woke up and helped get the alarms turned off. The carpet had not been cleaned and the bathroom smelled moldy as well. To make things worse, we sent all our complaints to them and they ignored us for over a week. We were offered appropriate compensation for the negative experience. Evonify shot that down. I would never stay with them again. Terrible at everything.
