The Airbnb was comparatively expensive for what you get compared to other cities, but Boston is a very expensive city. First and most importantly, the beds were surprisingly comfortable. Four of us stayed in the Airbnb, and it wasn’t overly crowded, coming from someone who’s never had a roommate. 10/10 location! This wasn’t the cheapest option, but far from the most expensive. It’s in an old building, so take that into account when exploring your options. The kitchen and bathroom were far from updated. We never planned to cook, so that was not an issue. The bathroom is very small (but again, every bathroom we used while in Boston was very small, so that may be a Boston thing). Would recommend a new shower curtain — yellow isn’t the best color for cleanliness. It had a sliding glass door, so not really sure why the shower curtain is there to begin with. The bath was fine to shower in, but wouldn’t recommend taking a bubble bath. The pull-down blinds can be finicky, but they work!
Great stay! Close to so many great spots and right by China town.
Pros: - Location was unbeatable...right across from Boston Common, shops, and Tatte (amazing cafe) - Spacious unit, especially the living room/2nd bedroom - Everything was definitely clean and well prepped Cons: - A bit "lipstick on a pig" and felt like a higher end first apartment post-college - The building is definitely majority college housing and the lobby/hallways/elevator/clientele show it - Windows (on 7th floor) didn't have any locks on them, let alone screens on some. Was nice to air out for a minute, but more so concerning for safety - I thought I'd resolved a pet surcharge issue directly with Evonify but just got another text today about it - so I'm hoping that doesn't become a thing
