This is a tough one. On a scale of one to five the location is a ten (10)!!! Located on one corner of Boston Commons puts you in the middle of action and history. Icing on the cake, no pun intended, was an amazing bakery on the opposite corner. Most of the other items usually reviewed are a 3 or 4 on a scale of 5 Cleanliness 4; beds 4; interior 3 (dated and sparse); appliances 3 (all worked but were in bad physical shape); bathroom 3 (all fixtures worked but not in great shape). Apartment is in an older 100+ unit building with common entrance with much coming and going of both people and deliveries to renters. Security felt fine. Summary: my family and I would definitely stay again for the location and value, not the apartment itself which would not be for everyone.
Good location, right by the subway station.
The location for this listing is great, however, the apartment was not very clean (including the sheets) when we arrived & the bed was not very comfortable. It was creeky and felt like we were sleeping on a trampoline. The biggest disappointment was the bathroom which is in need of updating. Whilst everything worked fine, it was used or rusting. For the price, it was ok, but I would not probably stay here again.
