We had a wonderful time in Boston, especially with the location of this rental. You are able to walk everywhere or, if needed, the public transportation is very convenient as well. The beds were very comfy and the check in/check out process was very easy. The beds were comfortable, the space was large enough for 4 people and was very quiet. The air conditioning is not central air so you will have to keep your bedroom doors open at night or it will get hot and stuffy during the summer months. We also had 4 guests and arrived with only 2 bath towels and near empty shampoo/conditioner bottles so we went and bought more. We did, however, contact customer service about the towels (this was 9AM) we had 3 or 4 more in our room by about 3PM on the same day.
Apartment was not as pictured. Location is convenient. Unclean and unsafe. No security measures. Mattresses had blood and urine stains on them. Broken lights all over apartment.
The apartment was very clean, except for one of the mattresses which smelled like cat pee. There were plenty of towels/toilet paper and the kitchen was stocked with all the basic cookware. The bed in the guest room has planks that are laid on top of the bed frame to keep the mattress up. They are supposed to be screwed into the frame, but since they aren’t we were rudely woken up when the mattress fell through the frame early in the morning. That can be easily fixed, and I assumed that it had been before we got there since I was not the first person to mention this happening. But, it wasn’t. The biggest problems I had with this apartment is that 1. The air mattress had a slow leak in it and I was told it would be replaced that day. We were there 4 nights and it was never replaced. 2. This one isn’t the owners fault, but there are drug dealers who have posted themselves outside the apartment building. They are there all the time. They were frequently yelling at other people who are always loitering on that street too. It did not feel all that safe.
